Lumbini Saamajik Bikash Kendra (Lumbini Social Development Center, shortly pronounced as LSDC) is an independent, non-political and non-profit community based organization registered in the District Administration Office established in 2063 BS in the Sandhikharka, Arghakhanchi district. Its establishment was inspired by the need of community mobilization in the development processes and providing situations through research and training services. It extends services to a wide range of clients including government and non-government agencies, and is committed to make optimum use of intellectual capacity for improving the livelihoods of people, especially the poor, destitute and disadvantaged. This organization has been campaigning many community development and capacity enhancement interventions in Arghakanchi district, Lumbini Province and most parts of the nation at large. Counseling, training and public awareness programs related to sexual and reproductive health, safe motherhood, water quality, HIV/AIDS, tuberculosis, malaria, human trafficking, safe migration, social awareness campaigns against Kulat and Dubrasni, Human rights, child rights, women's rights promotion, divorce and dowry prevention, livelihood, food security, clean energy, nutrition, health, drinking water, education and other basic rights promotion and awareness raising activities are being done. In addition, extensive coordination and facilitation of activities such as promotion of positive behavior change activities, civil rights, financial sector, public sector and capacity building in leadership is also being done. It believes on the principle of social justice, equity, harmony and dignified human life. We have in-depth knowledge of socio-demographic, geographic and psychosocial dimensions; great understanding of, conflict transformation, negotiation, and peace making. Good rapports with governmental agencies, local networks/groups, beneficiaries and other stakeholders, mutual respect, democratic culture, transparency, accountability.
